This Winter I went on a trip to India with my youngest daughter. She wanted to be certified as a Yoga instructor by a Yoga master in Chennai. It was high season, very hot and humid. Never a cloud in the sky. For three weeks prior to her attendance in the classes, we toured the country. To grant her wishes, we did everything the “economy” way including third class sleeper cars on the trains and sleeping often in huts on the beaches. Sleeping under mosquito nets in the heat and usually only having cold water showers, it taxed me but I didn’t complain. She was a “trooper” enduring all of it better than me.
A great education of the country but seeing many deplorable places as well with open sewers running down the sides of streets, families with little children living outside with no shelter, live stock of all sorts roaming freely gives a person in a civilized country new perspective of life. Personally, I have always appreciated the comforts in my life and what the United States has given me including all of my freedoms. I renewed those feelings during this trip. The other day on a business trip in Colorado, I was having breakfast in the first floor restaurant in which I was staying and over-heard a lady sitting with her husband at a table next to mine state some interesting remarks. My fine waitress had waited on me and went to them to inquire, “Is everything okay?” The lady remarked, “No, I am having a bad morning, they burned my toast and my coffee in cold!” I had to bite my tongue. How incongruent to the India situation in which I had just come, where many people have no coffee or toast or for that matter don’t have any money, no food, and limited amounts of cloth to even cloth themselves. No nice climate controlled restaurants, carpets, or nice chairs in which to sit. Her cold coffee and burned toast would be a whole meal to many in India and perhaps a feast.
Taking families in India of small children to a market to buy food was a thrill to my me and my daughter. Just a few ruprees would buy enough rice, bananas, bread, and pineapple to feed them for months! It was surprising how cheap food is but still many people there have no money to buy even a small amount. Many charitable organizations can’t even reach out to many of the street people. Who’s going to feed them? We did our share. I am going to continue with a 501-c-3 charitable application called Starfish Inc. to take funds there to feed these people. The name Starfish was derived from the story and poem about the lady throwing Starfish back into the sea after the tide went out to save their lives. As it was inquired, “Will this make a difference to the Starfish population of the world?” Her response, “It will to those I throw back into the sea.” I was so impressed with the work of Mother Teresa in India and her comments to seek the poorest of the poor. These people were truly the poorest of the poor. I shall do my part.
When eating rice as a condiment to your meals, remember to many people around the world, that’s it! Nothing more. It keeps them alive and keeps them from getting skinny. In most case here in the U.S., we have such a broad variety of foods to eat, we simply don’t need these refined carbohydrate foods. To us it only leads to fatness, more diabetes, and creating a food source (candida) for bacteria and parasites to live. It is not a problem in those starving nations because this is all they have and it is cheap. If you are trying to control your weight, it’s very simple, cut the refined carbs and exercise.

The month of October was a rough schedule for me. I had a two and one-half weeks of microscope work in Nebraska seeing dozens of people and ending the Midwest stay with a weekend in Missouri for two days of fun high school reunion events seeing many old friends. Dinners, dancing, and many laughs. Returning to Utah on a tedious air flight with stops and immediately going to the family ranch at a 6500-foot elevation to enjoy friends on a short and unproductive deer hunt for two days, then back to the office for the usual for one day before going to Mesquite, Nevada for microscope work for two days then on from there to Las Vegas with friends to see Jimmy Buffett in concert for the weekend. Wow! What a whirlwind tour of business and pleasure trips. Someone asked me, “How do you do it?” I have gone eighteen years without any kind of illness. After talking so much to so many people in the prior weeks, I almost lost my voice completely. I thought I was truly invincible but my rough schedule (planned and unplanned) must have been more in which I could keep up.The hoarseness went to my lungs, nose, throat, general body ache, and headache. I decided, I needed some rest. Duh. I took two days off and lounged around the house using my usual regimen of vitamins, salmon oil, antioxidants and enzymes but added a couple of things. I took four ImmunoPerfect each day and four capsules of Oil of Oregano. I did some juicing and only ate raw foods. I also drank a couple of ounces of Aloe Vera and by the third day, presto, I am well. I am back in the office and feel like nothing has happened negatively with my health at all.
How many people can say they get a cold or the flu for two days with no residual effects? Usually, I don’t get sick at all! I ran myself a bit ragged. It happens to everyone. I hope you took note of the protocol of items I used to improve my health and you can gain from this information. Get your rest.

Many people as adults are told that Iron as a supplement is not necessary. This should not be a general rule. Many factors can lead to an Iron anemia as an adult. I recall as a child, my mother requiring us to eat liver once each week to maintain our Iron. In those days, Iron was not as readily available in vegetables the year around as it is now and good red meat was too expensive to have regularly. Many children were anemic. Many adults today feel tired as a result of being Iron poor. Iron in the blood can be deficient for many reasons.Because many women have heavy menstrual cycles, excessive blood is lost and they can be anemic. Unbeknownst to many people, blood is being lost in their bodies because of ulcers, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and other Gastrointestinal Tract issues. As distasteful as it may sound, even bleeding hemorrhoids can cause enough of a blood loss ultimately leading to anemia. A simple test called an Hematocrit reveals the level of red blood cells in the body. Even though the reference range varies in laboratories somewhat, generally 38-45% of the total blood volume for women should be the red blood cells. For men, generally it should be 40-45%. Most of the rest of the blood is plasma. When anyone gets into the low 30% being red blood cells, it is getting too low. These people need to supplement or focus on Iron rich foods.Red blood cells live for about four months. When RBCs die, Iron is recycled by the liver at about 85-90%. Obviously, the difference has to made-up from the foods we eat or from supplements. Those with poor eating habits, it is often recommended to look for a vitamin supplement that contains Iron. One of the reasons I formulated a minimal amount of Iron to be included in my VitaPerfect is to make-up for that regular Iron loss or deficit. If a person has serious Iron deficiencies, I often recommend the daily diet include dark leafy green vegetables and red meat. Both high in bioavailable Iron. Also, there is a product found in health food stores called Floradix that is an herbal Iron derived of fruits and vegetables and is a straight shot of Iron Ferrous Gluconate. Most people have found this to be a great energy “pick me up” and an excellent way to quickly improve Iron deficiencies without constipation.
If your Hematocrit reveals that your Iron levels are at the appropriate percentage, you probably don’t need the extra Iron.

Are you wondering which sweetener to use? Most of them in stores are not good. Two or three are fine. Of course, I must ask the question first, “What are you sweetening in the first place?” If you are eating properly, you probably don’t need any sweeteners. If you are avoiding toxins in coffee or tea in your life, you don’t need sweeteners. If you are avoiding flour items, you don’t need sweeteners. Okay, so let’s be realistic, you may need sweeteners for something. Perhaps a nice herb tea or sweetening a smoothie. No to aspartame. It stimulates the appetite and your body may react the same way it does with sugar. It also is reported to erode the covering on nerves called the myelin sheath. If this happens, neuropathy could result.
No to sucralose. Sometimes called Splenda, it has been reported to shrink the thymus gland by one third. It is processed from regular sugar with chlorine and many folks have reported tummy pains, gas, and other bad side effects.
No to saccharine. For years, it has been linked to cancer in lab animals and most people don’t like the taste anyway.
Yes to stevia. It is zero on the Glycemic Index. No hyper-insulinism. It is an herb and comes in several forms. The leaves, green powder, white powder or liquid. Some people sense a bitter aftertaste but with a good stevia, that can be avoided. It is excellent for diabetics because it suppresses the glucose response.
Yes to Agave Nectar. Derived from the Agave Cactus, it is eleven on the Glycemic Index. Looks like honey, almost as thick as honey, tastes like honey but much lower on the GI. Recommended for diabetics and all natural. Honey on the other hand is considered okay if it is raw and unprocessed. The natural sucrases which are the inherent enzymes in the raw honey offset the sucroses or sugar values if the honey has not been pasteurized. Pasteurization is heating the natural enzymes until they are gone. Then you are getting a straight shot of sugar. Elevated on the Glycemic Index, probably best to avoid honey all together.
Yes to Xylitol. This is a natural sugar found in berries and birch bark. It does not spike glucose and has a low Glycemic Index. Good for diabetics. It is crystalline like sugar and can be used at the same volumes as sugar safely. It is sweet like sugar but a safer option. Your dentist will love you because they have found it proven to prevent cavities. Bacteria cannot metabolize Xylitol.

It seems that daily in my work, I see folks that have high blood pressure, weight problems, high cholesterol, depression, anxiety, and numerous other health problems that may be due largely in part to not having order in their lives. We need to relax more in our everyday living and perhaps organizing better. Finding peace in what we do. Nerves can have devastating results on health.I try to maintain homeostasis in my life by eating properly, sleeping properly, exercising regularly, supplementing with specific items, praying diligently always, and taking necessary breaks to re-create my spirits. Recently, I took a little drive to see my grandsons to go on a camping vacation close to Yellowstone Park. Since I have a nice travel trailer, it is really not roughing it too much but provides a comfortable get-a-way when needed. We fished, we saw beautiful water falls, viewed panoramic scenes, saw wildlife (to see an Osprey Eagle dive into a river to retrieve a trout is breathtaking), and had time to talk about everything under the sun, the upcoming school year and plan for more trips. It wasn’t expensive and was a tremendous break for us all.
To create order in our lives, we must find time to do things for ourselves and families. Of course, I give various recommendations to people about what to eat daily and how to supplement but a lot can be resolved by “centering” yourself. Create order in your life by following a few simple rules. Develop good habits of living as I mentioned earlier. Find the time to do the things that will not bog you down. Clean out a closet, get rid of junk, fix the things that need it or get rid of them, make your living environment or work environment more pleasing, have uplifting associations with people you love and by all means pray to the Deity in which we owe everything.
Don’t get caught in a spiraling downturn but turn it around by doing something good. Just a little effort will do it. Keep achieving goodness. Don’t criticize others. Your life will be healthy and good with a few positive changes and practices. Always be positive with your outlook. Expect miracles.

I often wonder which part of meats, fruits and vegetables are we not liking? I daily read health magazines, health books and internet information regarding health issues and how antioxidants from various foods improve or assist to avoid all kinds of cancer, diabetes, chronic fatigue and so many other health conditions. If good meat, fruits and veggies are improving lives, why doesn’t everyone do it? Of course, the answer is simple, we like all the other stuff! The refined items are addicting , cheap and available.Besides various meats, fruits and vegetables being good in the diet, I must add sprouts, seeds, nuts and grains if they are prepared properly. We should do more natural juicing of fruits and vegetables. Make more natural smoothies. This really is not rocket science. We need to consume more foods in the diet that are raw. If a person can get up to about 50% of the diet being raw foods, usually this is good enough for good health maintenance.
You can lose weight naturally without any silly diets or heavy exercise programs. The immune system can stay regulated and illnesses are avoided with having more of the diet leaning toward meat, fruits and vegetables. It never fails.

In my travels around the country with my microscope doing Live Cell Analysis, I am finding such great improvement in peoples heath. I constantly get reports of people reversing weight problems, cancer, chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and yes, even diabetes. Armed with the correct information, life style, diet changes, and supplementation, many are having tremendous successes. I am always impressed with the reports. If you ever have questions regarding your health, you are welcome to call my office or schedule an appointment in your area of the country. You can call the office to see when I will be in your locale.*As a quick notice to all of you that have been waiting for these new formulas, I am only a month or two away from having a very effective anti-inflammatory and a blood pressure reducing formula. So far, my preliminary tests have shown both to be effective for their respective health problems.

On a recent business trip to Colorado and Wyoming, I noticed as I do my microscope blood analysis with people that many do not have good oxygenation. I carry an Oximeter with me to look at levels of O2 in the blood and many are hovering close to 90%. Much too low for effective oxygenation of glands, organs, the brain and other body systems. Often, this is due mostly to not taking adequate breaths. Also, if a person has regular aerobic activity in their life, the body responds by breathing more effectively. Ribs, lungs, and muscles get accustomed to expanding and they will continue even when at rest. If one cannot or will not do aerobic work, then it becomes important to simply focus consciously on taking deeper breaths. Smokers will always have a decreased capacity for oxygen transfer. The good news is that after the smoking stops, generally the O2 levels will return.So. As you read this, take a deep breath or two. It will become a habit and you can have better health results just by improved breathing.

Fat loss will happen! Be persistent. If you follow the proper methods, your fat will reduce. Someone said once that “Practice makes perfect.” Then I heard the correction of this old adage to become “Good practice makes perfect.” If you are “practicing ” the wrong eating and life style habits, you will not improve. Many people simply diet wrong. If you are not adapting to a new paradigm or rethinking of how to conduct the eating and activity in your life, you will just be in the same circumstance, get worse, or perhaps see temporary weight loss and then it all comes back. Once you find a program that you enjoy as a lifestyle that is fun, affordable, and easy, you will lose weight. There are still those that think they are going to lose weight with flour items and refined sugars in their diet. Can’t happen.Which part of meats, fruits, vegetables, sprouts, seeds, nuts, and grains (appropriately prepared) are we not understanding? A variety of these items plus a little workout once in a while will guarantee your weight reduction. A continuation of this improved lifestyle will maintain your proper weight. Cardiovascular efficiency will be gained only by putting some mild to moderate stress on the system. It must be done for good health. If you like the huffing and puffing video programs you see on the television, then by all means try them. But frankly, it does not take that kind of workout. Just be patient and consistent with something simple like walking or using the treadmill. Get your heart rate up into your “threshold” and do it consistently. Eliminate the empty calorie foods. Anyone that says they cannot lose weight is not practicing these simple rules. With some people, it may take weeks for the “triggering” to occur. Whew, when it does, you will notice clothes fitting more loosely and fat going away. Again, be patient and persistent. Don’t cheat by taking in more calories than you are burning. After all, following exercise you may feel hungry. Eat good foods as listed previously. Don’t reduce your calories unless of course, they are excessive to start with. Don’t cop out by letting someone tell you that you have a glandular disorder or that your thyroid or hormones must be out of whack. Yes, they do have an effect on weight but if you follow these aforementioned guidelines, weight will come off regardless.

When most people read or hear the word “blood” it seems rather distasteful and they tend to stay away from anything dealing with blood. However, the blood shows everything. Under a good microscope, a person can see all kinds of interesting features regarding health. If I show a person a red blood cell magnified 50,000 times and it has a parasite in it, then one must wonder, “How many of these do I have?” Or “Are they dangerous?” And especially, “How can I get rid of these parasitic critters?”When seeing your own blood under a powerful microscope it is a great experience. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see aberrations or problems in the blood. Red Blood Cells are supposed to be round, uniform in shape and size and floating freely through the plasma. White Blood Cells should be the proper sizes, present in proper numbers and active. Some platelets are usually visible and should be in proper numbers and nothing else should be seen! All other items are not supposed to be there. It’s very simple. Anything else can lead to potential health problems. After seeing the blood of about 15,000 people, I am still fascinated at every person’s blood under the microscope.Taking the opportunity to have a Live Cell presentation is always recommended periodically or especially during times of not feeling well. It is sometimes difficult to find a practitioner in which performs this work but by asking health store personnel or looking online, a person can eventually find out where this can be done. A periodic check of your blood with a simple and painless finger stick by a reputable person can be very revealing. Further, it can save you a lot of money in what you should be doing regarding your life style, diet and supplementation.
