You have probably heard of eating the proper foods but perhaps you wondered what they were. There are many people that will testify by eating properly blood pressure normalizes, blood sugar normalizes and much more. At first, you may feel eating the following foods are boring or have no flavor. Indeed, they have much flavor. If you need preparation assistance, buy a book on food preparation. There is a lot of variety here. It's never too late to get your health in line by eating properly. Nobody should ever go a day without a huge gargantuan salad consisting of many items.
Beans: Black beans, cannellini beans, black-eyed peas, butter beans, soy beans, baked beans, chickpeas, edamame, peas, kidney beans, lentils, miso, pinto beans, split peas, tofu, hummus
Berries: Any small edible fruit, including grapes, raisins, blackberries, cherries, raspberries, blueberries and strawberries
Other Fruits: Apples, apricots, avocados, bananas, cantaloupe melon, clementines, dates, figs, grapefruit, honeydew melon, kiwi, lemons, limes, lychees, mangos, nectarines, oranges, papaya, passion fruit, peaches, pears, pineapple, plums, pomegranates, prunes, tangerines, watermelon
Cruciferous Vegetables: Broccoli, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, spring greens, radishes, turnips and tops, watercress
Greens: Spring greens, kale, young salad greens, sorrel, spinach, Swiss chard
Other Vegetables: Asparagus, Beets and beet greens, peppers, carrots, corn, garlic, mushrooms, okra, onions, pumpkin, sugar snap peas, squash, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes.
Seeds: Flax seed, Chia, Cumin seed, Sesame, Celery seed, mixed salad seeds
Whole Grains: Buckwheat, rice, quinoa, cereal, pasta, bread. Half a cup of cooked rice or pasta; one cup of cereal; a slice of bread; half a bagel
Herbs & Spices: Grow them indoors and outdoors. Place them on foods.
Nuts: Varieties of nuts daily
Sprouts: Mixed garden seeds and mung beans. Become a home sprouter.
Beverages: No less than a half-gallon of water each day. Herb teas. Limit coffee and heavy teas. No alcohol.
Exercise: Aerobic and anaerobic. Stretching for flexibility. Walking accomplishes a lot.
90-95 % of the diet should be from these items. Meat should be in the diet for some important health reasons but notice the percentage difference. Remember fish and poultry are meats also.
