Ellagic Acid is a shortened name for Ellagitannins a naturally occurring constituent found in 46 different fruits, nuts, pomegranate seeds, red raspberry seeds, and blueberries. It is an extremely high level antioxidant to protect against free radical damage. Clinical studies have shown Ellagic Acid to prevent and arrest the growth of cancer cells. It has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. Many of the other components in this formula are extremely high in antioxidant values.
